Friends of the Museum
The Clement Railroad Hotel Museum is dedicated to the preservation
and interpretation of local, regional, and state history for future
generations. Our members play an important role in the development of
the museum through their volunteerism and financial support. Their
continued support provides the resources needed for the Museum's
interpretive and educational programs, collection conservation, special
events, and travelling exhibits. Through our visitor services,
exhibits, and programming, we tell the stories of railroading, the
Civil War, local history, and the life of Tennessee Governor Frank G.
Clement.
"We need your help to carry on the legacy of these powerful stories.
Won't you join the Friends of the Museum today?"
While you enjoy the many benefits of membership, your financial
contribution will be used in developing and expanding our exhibits,
programs, and services. Member support helps preserve this railroad
hotel which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and
provides a unique educational experience for visitors from around the
country.
To enter through the double doors into the Museum lobby is to
remember a time when railroads were our country's mass transportation,
when drummers brought their sample cases to display, and when
good food, a clean room, and hospitality were the hallmarks of a
first-rate railroad hotel.
"As a member, you will join a growing number of individuals and businesses
who are committed to furthering the Clement Railroad Hotel Museum's mission
of researching, preserving, and interpreting our heritage through
our collections, artifacts, and materials."
